Reaction of MQM-P is not unusual, says Fawad
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said on Sunday that the reaction of the MQM-P is not unusual, hoping that the matter will be resolved soon.
Talking to the journalists in Lahore, Fawad Chaudhry said that the demands raised by MQM-P are legal and it is not unusual for the emergence of differences between political parties. “The incumbent government has no danger in current situation,” he added.
The minister also mentioned that MQM-P has right to have a difference of opinion as every political party has its own stance and vote bank. “MQM-P is a coalition party of PTI in the federal government and its reservations will be removed through consultation,” he maintained.
It is pertinent to mention here that after resignation of MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui from federal cabinet, the federal government decided to settle the MQM-P’s reservations.
The sources informed that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had a telephonic conversation with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail. They discussed the issues alienating the Karachi-based ally of the ruling PTI.
On the directions of PM Khan, a delegation of the PTI led by Asad Umar, will meet MQM-P leaders tomorrow to address their reservations.
According to the sources, The prime minister has termed the demands of the MQM-P as valid, and all commitments with the allied party would be fulfilled. “The MQM-P is the best and most trusted ally of the government Karachi is the economic hub of the state and cannot be neglected” he added.
“The people of Karachi had expressed their confidence into the PTI, therefore their trust would not be hurt,” Imran Khan maintained.
