ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI Senator Shaukat Tarin has said that recording the private conversation yielded no result.

Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that his answer to the accusers is that their objective was to spend money on the people. "Democracy will suffer a loss by distributing the certificates of treason. We provided the relief to the people by standing before the IMF," he maintained.

The PTI senator said that he was not a traitor and his audio tape conversation was distorted.

Criticizing the government, he said that the IMF conditions would further burden the common man. "The government itself is saying that the inflation will increase. We used to stand before the IMF and protected our people. We would have said goodbye to the IMF in September," he declared.

Shaukat Tarin said that per unit price of electricity had reached Rs50 units. "The gas prices are about to be increased. The dollar price has once against started going up. We should purchase cheap oil from Russia," he added.
