Red warrants issued for Ishaq Dar, SC informed

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The attorney general of Pakistan on Saturday informed the Supreme Court (SC) that a red warrants for former finance minister Ishaq Dar has been issued. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case regarding to Dar's return to Pakistan. He said that the red warrants have been issued by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) after getting approval from the Ministry of Interior. The attorney general told the bench that passport of the Pakistan Muslim League-N leader has not been cancelled. The Ministry of Interior also submitted its response that the top court had sought from it. The bench was told that the former finance minister would be brought back to the country with the help of Interpol. The hearing of the case pertaining to Ishaq Dar 's return was adjourned for two weeks. On the other hand, Ishaq Dar emailed the SC registrar and said that he has not linked with the appointment of Attaul Qasmi as state-run TV managing director (MD). He also mentioned that the salary and expense of Qasmi was amounted worth Rs1.8 million.
