Relief goods delivered to Chitral avalanche victims on COAS’s directions

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – An Army helicopter on Monday delivered relief items to the victims of Chitral avalanche incident on the directions of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa. The relief items including rations, coal stoves, blankets and medicines were delivered to the affectees at Sher Shal village of Chitral, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. Army Chief General Bajwa has also directed the soldiers of Pak Army to extend maximum cooperation to the local administration. Chitral Scouts Commander Colonel Nizam is supervising the relief operation. According to media reports, at least 15 people, including women and children were killed as an avalanche hit Sher Shal village of Chitral on Saturday.
