PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Jamatud Dawa and Sunni Tehreek took out rallies in different cities against the genocide of Rohingya Muslims and alleged silence of the international community over the issue. Addressing the rallies, leaders of the religious parties urged that it is time for the leadership of all the Muslim countries to raise the Myanmar issue in the United Nations. They said that the leaders of India should not give provocative statements, keeping in mind that Pakistan is a nuclear power and its army is capable of defending its interests at all cost. “We will protect our country along with our armed forces,” the speakers said. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam workers march through Peshawar GT Road after Friday prayers. They chanted slogans against the violence against innocent Rohingya Muslims. Meanwhile, Gujranwala Sunni Tehreek city president Tahir Raza Qadri led a rally in Sheranwala Bagh. The participants were holding placard bearing anti-India slogans.
