Removed PTI chairman not for power but for progress of people: Asif Zardari

KHAN GARH (92 News) - Former president Asif Zardari has said that they had removed the PTI chairman not for power but for the progress of the people and the country.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said that they will have to go beyond personal thinking and look for Pakistan. "The country cannot afford more economic problems. Our politics is the politics of the people. Good results come in democracy when there is a competition," he maintained.

He said that the martial law would have been imposed had he not given the powers to the parliament after reducing the presidential powers. "Today it is not easy to impose the martial law."

Asif Zaradari said that Pakistan had paid a heavy price for stability in Afghanistan. He also visited Gohar Palace and held a meeting with Ali Gohar Mehar.
