LONDON (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who was allowed four-week permission to get treatment in London, underwent a medical check-up at Bridge Hospital. Surgeon Simon Redwood, a professor of interventional cardiology and honorary consultant cardiologist at Guy's Hospital, advised Nawaz Sharif to undergo angioplasty. Talking to the media on Monday, Dr Adnan said that doctors have advised Nawaz Sharif to get admission in hospital. He said that Nawaz Sharif will undergo positron emission tomography (PET) scan on Thursday. PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif said that doctors are waiting for the hematology reports. About a question regarding Sheikh Rasheed, he said he had never replied to Sheikh Rasheed. He also prayed may Allah Almighty give him the right path. Earlier, Nawaz’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan tweeted that Dr David Lawrence, cardiothoracic Surgeon at University College Hospital examined the former premier, who had been “given a roadmap for cardiac investigations & subsequent treatment”. Dr Lawrence performed the CABG (heart bypass surgery) on Nawaz in May 2016 and had clinically looked after ever since, the doctor said. “Dr Lawrence in sync with haematologists at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, will manage” Nawaz, he added.
