Renowned humor writer Mushtaq Yousufi dies at 94

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Renowned Urdu humor writer Mushtaq Ahmed Yousufi died at 94 years. According to the details, Mushtaq Yusafi was suffering a long-term illness. He died in the age of 94 years. Yusufi was born in a learned family of Jaipur, Rajasthan on 4 September 1923. Some of his most popular works include Chiragh Talay, Khakam-ba-dahan, Zarguzasht, Aab-E-gum and Sham-e-Shair-e-Yaaraan. He got Sitara-i-Imtiaz Award in 1999 and Hilal-i-Imtiaz Award in 2002, the highest literary honor given by the Government of Pakistan. Yousufi has also served as the head of several national and international governmental and financial institutions. His father Abdul Karim Khan Yusufi was chairman of the Jaipur Municipality, and later Speaker of the Jaipur Legislative Assembly.96th Birthday of Mushtaq Yousufi Being Celebrated Today Yusufi completed his early education in Rajputana and earned B.A. from Agra University while MA Philosophy and LLB from Aligarh Muslim University. After the partition of India and formation of Pakistan, his family migrated to Karachi, Pakistan. He has served Urdu literature throughout his life.
