Renowned lawyer SM Zafar passes away aged 93

LAHORE (92 News) - Renowned lawyer SM Zafar passed away after a protracted illness on Thursday. He was 93.

SM Zafar was among top lawyers of the country. He started his practice in 1950. He was the father of Barrister Ali Zafar.

Meanwhile, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of renowned lawyer SM Zafar.

In his condolence message, he expressed his heartfelt sympathy and grief with his family. He acknowledged that SM Zafar always raised a voice for the rule of law and the services of late SM Zafar rendered for the country will always be remembered.

He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
