LAHORE (92 News) – Renowned Urdu novelist Abdullah Hussain was laid to rest in DHA graveyard on Saturday. Hundreds of people, including intellectuals, writers and politicians, participated in his funeral. People say that his death has created a vacuum in the literary world, which can never be filled. Abdullah Hussain's masterpiece novels included "Udaas Naslain", "Nasheb", "Nadaar Log", "Azaad Log" and "Raat". He was awarded the Pakistan’s biggest literary award Kamal-e-Fun in 2012. He was awarded the fellowship of the Royal Society of Literature in 2002.
