Repatriation of 16,000 Afghan families resumes after four-month hiatus

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The repatriation of 16,000 Afghan families started after a four-month break on Monday.

One each repatriation center has been established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

The Afghan refugees will be repatriated to Afghanistan by the end of next month.

The UNHCR representative told the media that an aid of US$ 200 is being provided to each returning Afghan refugee besides food and other basic items.

As many as 370,000 registered Afghan refugees have returned to their country so far.
