Report on fake and substandard medicines presented in Senate

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As the business of fake and substandard medicines is on the rise in Pakistan, the samples of 1797 medicines have been proved substandard during the last three years. A report pertaining to the seizure of fake and substandard medicines during the last three years has been presented in the Senate. According to health ministry, those involved in playing with the lives of innocent people were only imposed fines. The report stated that the samples of 1797 medicines were proved substandard during the three years, while 412 medicines were proved fake.
