  • Says instead of 'Jangla bus service' in Rawalpindi-Islamabad, the government could have built three universities and three hospitals.
  • Says Rs 1 billion per month subsidy being provided to Metro Service in Lahore.
LAHORE (92 News) - Former Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid (PML-Q) leader Parvez Elahi has said that the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) projects in the province, including the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Service are mere show-off projects. Talking to 92 News on Sunday, Parvez said that the Punjab government projects have failed in entirety. "Sasti Roti project failed. Charity is being asked to run Rescue 1122 project," he said. "Whereas, Rs 1 billion per month is being spent on Lahore Metro subsidy." He further said that in the instance of increase in inflation by 15 percent, only seven percent increase in salaries is condemnable. Meanwhile, Punjab government spokesperson has said that those opposing the Metro Bus service are against the poor. "Metro Bus service is the the hallmark of progress in Punjab."
