Resolution condemning Indian firing on LoC passed in NA

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Assembly has on Friday passed a resolution condemning unprovoked firing of the Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC). The resolution moved by federal minister Chaudhary Barjees Tahir expressing concern over the tragic incident of Indian unprovoked firing in which seven Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom at the LoC in Bhimber sector. The House took serious cognizance of the unprovoked and barbarian attack on the Pakistani border forces by the Indian army resulting in aggression and clashes. Through resolution, the House recognized the sacrifices of Pakistan army and paid glowing tribute to the martyred soldiers for their valor. On the occasion, federal minister Barjees Tahir said that the Indian forces continue to violate ceasefire agreement. Meanwhile, Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Bizenjo told the House that the committee formed to investigate into the Gadani incident has already presented its report to the Prime Minister, while report of the committee formed by the Balochistan Government is under preparation. The minister said that 28 people were killed and 50 others wounded in the tragic incident, adding that the government has announced compensation for the victims of the incident. Hasil Bizenjo said: “Gadani shipyard lacked facilities like fire tenders, adding that the safety measures are being improved at the shipyard.” “Laws for the ship-breaking are also being prepared,” he added. Meanwhile, Mahmood Achakzai demanded a judicial be formed to probe into the incident. The House also offered Fateha for Jahangir Badar, Naveed Qamar’s father, ANP leader Haji Adeel, Pak Army soldiers and those died in Gadani incident.
