Resolution seeking three-month postponement of elections submitted in Senate

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - An independent senator on Friday submitted a resolution seeking postponement of the general elections for three months.

The resolution submitted by Senator Hadayatullah Khan of the Parliamentary Group stated that the general elections should be postponed due to security challenges.

The resolution also mentioned recent violent attacks, demanding that the Election Commission of Pakistan and the Supreme Court should sympathetically look into peaceful conduct of the elections.
