Restoration of international cricket in Pakistan not easy: ICC Task Force chief
LAHORE (92 News) – ICC Task Force President Giles Clarke has said that restoration of international cricket in Pakistan is not an easy task. Talking to the media after reaching Lahore on Saturday, he said that disappearance of international cricket from Pakistan is disappointing. “Lahore is a beautiful city and I am impressed by the steps taken to make it safe,” he said. Meanwhile, Giles Clarke called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif earlier today. During the meeting, discussion was held to take steps for the revival of international cricket in Pakistan. On the occasion, Giles Clarke said that Punjab government has taken effective measures for the protection of life and property of the people. “Safe City Project is smart initiative to ensure peaceful environment to the citizens.” Clarke said that CM's efforts to revive international cricket in Pakistan are praiseworthy and we will extend full cooperation in this regard. “Positive development is expected for the revival of international cricket in the coming days. We have seen wonderful steps taken with regard to law and order and we are happy that Punjab government has done a wonderful job in this regard. I am personally impressed with security arrangements,” he added.
