DUBAI (92 News) – A resurgent Karachi Kings will look to extend their winning run against a formidable Peshawar Zalmi to book their berth in Pakistan Super League (PSL) final on Friday (today). Kings have emerged as a serious title contender from a perennial makeweights after a disastrous first-half of the tournament that left their playoffs hopes lingering with a thread. Kings have survived an early onslaught to reach the playoffs and will bid to keep their maiden PSL title hopes alive with a clinical performance while Zalmi will be looking to clinch a berth in the country’s premier cricket league final. At one stage, Kings were lurching at the bottom, with just four point from their six games as they needed to win against Lahore Qalandars to keep their knockout hopes alive. But Kieron Pollard hit two successive sixes off the last two balls of the match to keep them afloat in the tournament. Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi has confirmed that all the international players of his franchise have given their consent to play the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore on Sunday if his team qualify for the same. He further confirmed that all the five foreign players of his team, namely Dawid Malan, Marlon Samuels, Darren Sammy, Chris Jordan and Samit Patel have already been issued Pakistan visas.
