Revenue dept hands over asset details of aviation minister to NAB

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The revenue department in Rawalpindi on Sunday has handed over the assets record of Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). According to details, the anti-graft watchdog body has received details of the properties owned by Ghulam Sarwar Khan, his wife and family. The NAB sought the property details of the minister and members of his family from the Rawalpindi revenue department in connection with its ongoing investigation into his assets. Meanwhile, the bureau has also decided to take information from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in this regard. Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has summoned the record of all the property owned by Minister for Civil Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan and his family. The federal minister is now on the radar of the NAB Rawalpindi and the watchdog body has now started following federal minister for aviation. Additional Director (Staff) for Director General NAB Muhammad Saleem Ahmad Khan recently wrote letter to Rawalpindi Administration for provision of details about the properties of the federal minister and his family. In a letter, the NAB is presently in the process of complaint verification against Ghulam Sarwar Khan. The NAB has directed the federal minister to submit the record of agricultural land, commercial plots and residential plots he owns through the revenue staff of his native town in Taxila. Federal minister’s son Ali Sarwar and five other members of his family have been told to submit the record of property they have in their names. The NAB is investigating complaints of corruption against Ghulam Sarwar Khan and his family.
