Revolutionary steps of EVM, I-voting to ensure fair elections in country: Fawad

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhary has said Electronic Voting Machines and I-voting is a revolutionary step of the incumbent government.

Speaking in Cabinet Committee meeting on EVM and I-Voting in Islamabad, the information minister said use of Technology is the need of the hour to ensure transparent and fair elections in the country.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Babar Awan was also present on the occasion.

Speaking about the electoral reforms especially introduction of EVMs and extending the right of vote to overseas Pakistanis, he suggested that robust campaign to mobilize public opinion in favour of EVMs must be launched soon.
