KARACHI (92 News) – As law enforcement agencies count successes in ongoing Karachi operation, the street crime has witnessed rise in the port city in the first 10 days of the year, which has raised fears. According to police data, around 700 citizens were deprived of their mobile phones during the first 10 days New Year, while around 50 citizens were deprived of their cars. The astonishing rise was witnessed in theft of motorbikes when 548 two-wheelers were taken away,” the data said. The rise in street crimes was sharply felt when the recent crime rate in the first 10 days was compared with the trend observed during last year.
