River Indus in high flood at Chashma, Guddu, Sukkur

LAHORE (92 News) - River Indus remained in high flood at Chashma, Guddu and Sukkur, in medium flood at Kalabagh and Taunsa and in low flood at Tarbela on Wednesday. As per Flood Forecasting Division of Met Department in Lahore,  River Kabul is in medium flood at Nowshera while both River Jhelum and River Ravi are in low flood at Mangla and Sadhnai respectively. All other rivers and nullahs are flowing normally at present. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, River Indus at Khairabad, River Kabul at Warsak and Nowshera and River Adezai at Adezai Bridge are in medium flood this morning. River Panjkora at Dir, River Khiali and River Naguman near Charsadda Road and River Shah Alam at Takhtabad are in low flood. Chitral received rain last night causing heavy flood in River Chitral. People were shifted to safer places. However, no report of any causality has so far been received. According to the latest figures issued by Indus River System Authority (IRSA), water flow at Guddu has reached to at least 548,340 cusecs while that at Chashma is 545,469 cusecs. At Sukkur, 528,525 cusecs water flow has been recorded. Rests of the rivers in the province are flowing normal.
