Roof collapse kills three, hundreds of tourists trapped due to landslide

PESHAWAR (92 News) - Hundreds of tourists were trapped due to closure of roads after landslide and floods in different northern areas.

Huge losses have been reported due to collapsing of mud houses and dilapidated roofs. In Mansehra, three children were killed while a woman and two kids were injured when the roof of their house collapsed.

In Balochistan, canals, bridges and passages were washed away due to swelling of canals and streams. In Jhal Magsi, steams in a flood in Kashkok and Sakleji.

Roads are closed in Ziarat, Sanjawi and Bolan for the last three days. Almost three-foot rainwater has accumulated on all roads in Jaffarabad. Several localities, including Gandawa, have been in the darkness for the last six days.

On the other hand, the road link between Hub and Karachi was disconnected. Low-lying areas inundated due to rains in Sindh. Roads turned into ponds due to 100mm rain in Karachi, Nawabshah, Sukkur and Hyderabad.

In Dadu, the mountainous areas of Ker Thar are in a flood due to incessant rains. People are facing shortage of food items due to closure of roads.

In Badin village, two children drowned while taking a bath in rainwater.
