PESHAWAR (92 News) – After the strike observed by ‘tandoor’ owners, the prices of Roti and Naan have been fixed at Rs15 and 20 respectively in the city. In Lahore, tandoor owners have also announced to increase the roti and naan prices to Rs15 and 20 respectively. Moreover, mill owners have announced to increase the flour price by Rs7.20 per kg. Naan Roti Association president Aftab Gull said that the Lahore administration had sought three days and the new prices would be applicable from Monday at all costs. The flour price has increased after the imposition of GST. Moreover, the government has increased the electricity and gas rates. Meanwhile, citizens have expressed their concern over the increase in the prices of roti and naan. They have appealed to the government to take steps for the resolution of the problem. The Lahore district administration said that the government is giving a subsidy of Rs42 billion and the roti and naan would be sold at Rs6 and 10 respectively.
