KARACHI (92 News) – The rate of passing one paper in Sindh Matriculation Board has been fixed Rs15000, revealed in the “Night Edition” program of the 92 News channel. Another furious story of corruption has been surfaced after startling revelations in the program of 92 News channel. The corrupt officials turned the Sindh Matriculation Board into a money-making machine. Students are being passed in the examinations in exchange for money. The degree of Matriculation with A1 grade can be obtained in amount of 150,000 rupees. 92 News program “Night Edition” revealed that the student who got 10 marks in the math paper was given 59 marks. It added that when the officials from education board were contacted, they make lame excuses for comment on the matter. In the Night Edition program, the ‘sting operation’ of 92 News exposed the direct involvement of Ziaul Haq – personal assistant (PA) of Matric Board Karachi Chairman Prof Dr Saeedud Din – in dealing with agents. When contacted for comment, Dr Saeedud Din refused to speak about the matter. When 92 News tried to take stance of the research committee chairman, he also ignored to comment on this issue. Talking in the program of “Night Edition”, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that if anyone has proof of corruption, he should give them and they will try to punish the responsible. It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Saeeduddin is accused of misusing results, fee waiving, buying and selling of examination centers as well as he is also involved in alleged manipulation of printing of copies, renovation of building, purchase of furniture, contracts and scholarships. On the other hand, the Sindh Chief Minister has also approved the appointment of the board chairman for another three years who is involved in the corruption of 900 million rupees.
