Rulers preparing taxes notification before creation of Gilgit-Baltistan Province: Bilawal Bhutto

Addressing a public meeting on Tuesday, he said that they fear the federal government could withdraw subsidy on wheat in exchange for the province.

"The PPP will not let the federal government do such thing with the people of Gilgit-Baltistan," he said.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the participation of a large number of people had pronounced the verdict of saving Gilgit-Baltistan from the incompetent and selected rulers.

"The PPP will first form the provincial government after winning the elections on November 15 and then will form the federal government along with its allies in January," he said.

He said that then president Asif Ali Zardari had laid the foundation stone of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) with an objective of benefitting the backward areas, but now the people are being deprived of these benefits.
