ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The ruling alliance has unanimously decided to complete the term of the assemblies.

The decision was made during a meeting of the allied parties chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday.

The meeting agreed that premature elections are not a better option. "We cannot make decisions under pressure from PTI chairman Imran Khan," the participants opined.

During the meeting, a strategy for the election of the chief minister was also decided. The participants agreed that all allied parties will try their best to save the slot of the chief minister.

PPPP president Asif Zardari, PDM chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman, MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and ANP leader Mian Iftikhar and other leaders attended the meeting.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should announce the verdict of the foreign funding case lying pending since long.

"The court verdict on the Article 63A is in clash with the constitution. The full court should hear the review petition and announce the verdict," he added.

Akram Durrani said that Imran Khan was attacking the ECP as well as the judiciary. "It is our unanimous decision that the law will take its course if he did not stop attacking the institutions."

He said that Imran Khan is spreading the agenda of destruction across the country.

ANP leader Mian Iftikhar said that allied parties are united in the interest of the country.

MQM leader Waseem Akhtar said that the former government had failed in ending inflation. "The morale of the present government is very high," he added.
