Rupee gains another 84 paisa against US dollar in interbank

KARACHI (92 News) – The rupee gained an additional 84 paisa against the US dollar on Wednesday as the greenback was quoted at below the pre-pandemic level of June 2019.

The value of Pakistani rupee continues to increase as the dollar was being quoted at 152.25 compared to Tuesday's closing value of Rs153.09.

The US dollar had lost 84 paisa against the rupee on Tuesday in the interbank market as currency experts believed that the downward trend would continue and the greenback would soon reach the pre-Covid level.

A day earlier, the rupee gained 95 paisa against the US dollar in the interbank.

The day's trade closed at Rs153.09 per dollar, against yesterday's closing of Rs154.04 per dollar.

In the open market, the rupee was traded at Rs153/154 per dollar –90 paisa less than yesterday's rate
