ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Holding on to the tradition of setting up sabeels in memory of thirsty people of Karbala, the volunteers are serving water, juices and milk mixed with Jam-e-Shirin to faithful during the 10th Muharramul Haram procession. Mourners oozing themselves with knives and chains during the 10th Muharramul Haram procession at Youm-e-Ashur. The young, elder and old people are busy to serve buckets of milk sherbet, the coolers full of red sherbet and lime and orange squash. The sabeels set up many places around this time each year, where the langar (food) and tea offered to the faithfuls, participants of procession and the citizens. Muharramul Harram known as the first month of the Islamic calendar and the mourning month in remembrance of the martyrdom (Shahadat) of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (SAWW). Imam Hussain (AS) and his family and some of his companions massacred in battle of Karbala on the 10th Muharram.
