Sacrifice of animals continues on third day of Eidul Azha

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The ritual cattle sacrifice continued throughout Pakistan on wednesday, the third day after Eidul Azha. Many people chose to share in the sacrifice of cows and camels due to exorbitant rates of sacrificial animals. Others sacrificed goats and sheep. Those who could not sacrifice their animals on the second day due to engagement of butchers or some other reasons are slaughtering goats, cows and camels today. While most people share the meet of the sacrificed animal with family and friends, many are dedicating the entire sacrifice for distribution among the poor and the needy. A large number of families especially youth are swarming recreational spots and nearby hill stations. Meanwhile, civic agencies have made elaborate arrangements for prompt disposal of offals and solid waste on the occasion of Eidul Azha. Strict security arrangements have also been beefed up throughout the country.
