ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Arif Alvi has said that Youm-e-Ashur has significant importance in the Islamic history, sacrifices of Karbala martyrs unforgetable till the day of judgment on Tuesday. In his message on the eve of Youm-e-Ashur, the president has said the supreme sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (Razi Allah ho Ta'ala Anho) is a triumph of humanity and Islamic principles. Arif Alvi also said that Youm-e-Ashur has a significant place in the Islamic history as on this day the grandson of Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) Hazrat Imam Hussain (Razi Allah ho Ta'ala Anho) along with his family members and companions embraced martyrdom, thus making the tragic event unforgetable till the day of judgment. The president said that this great sacrifices remind the Muslims every year that they should not be hesitant from sacrificing their lives in the face of forces of evil and vice. He stressed upon the people to reiterate the resolve that their every act will be in accordance with the teachings of Imam Hussain and aimed at upholding the Islamic traditions and progress and prosperity of the country. “The martyrdom and sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain is a lesson for everyone to never refrain from fighting against terrorism, extremism and intolerant ideology and emphasized on promoting affinity and brotherhood”, he said. He also prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country and complete adoption of the real message of Youm-e-Ashur. “The Karbala incident teaches us the significance of sacrifices in way to attainment of greater objectives. This is the act of staying strong on the righteous path which the history has been regarded as ‘Uswah-e-Shabbiri’,” Alvi mentioned. Today, Youm-e-Ashur, in remembrance of the martyrs of Kerbala, is being observed with religious fervour across the country. It is pertinent to mention here that in the 10th of Muharram, Youm-e-Ashur, Muslims observes this day with due solemnity to pay homage to the supreme sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah ho Ta’ala Anho and his devoted companions in Karbala. The Zuljinah processions concluded at their designated places after passing through traditional routes in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Quetta. Taazia and Zuljanah processions will be taken out in all cities and towns of the country including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Quetta. Ulema and Zakireen will highlight the bright and candid teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and various aspects of Karbala tragedy. Water tanks, milk and soft drinks (Sabeel) is being arranged across the routes of the processions. Before the processions, the mourners will address by their religious scholars. Meanwhile, elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure security of mourning processions and Majalis. Police and other law enforcement agencies will be deployed to ensure law and order.
