ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Sadiq Sanjrani, a candidate of the government and allies, has been once again elected the Senate chairman on Friday.

Sanjrani bagged 48votes, while his opponent Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani got 39 votes. Seven votes of Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani were rejected for placing stamp wrongly.

Later, Presiding Officer Muzaffar Hussain Shah administered oath to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

Addressing the Upper House, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said that he was thankful of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal and Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak. "I will try my best to take all members along with me," he added.
