Saints played vital role for promotion of Islam in Sub-continent: president

MULTAN (92 News) – President Dr Arif Alvi has said Sufis in sub-continent have played a vital role to spread Islam in the region on Thursday. Addressing International Sufi Conference in Multan, he said eminent Sufi of Multan Bahauddin Zakariya preached inter-faith harmony and he will be remembered for his services to Islam. The president said character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a role model for Muslims. He said that the forgiveness is real message of Islam. Dr Arif Alvi also announced to alleviate the poverty and bringing same education system in ‘Naya Pakistan’. He declared the unity as solution of current situation of the country and need of hour. During the visit president in Multan, the strict security arrangement was set up and Metro Bus service also closed for the concerns of security.
