Sajjada Nasheen Pir Hameed-ud-Din Sialvi laid to rest beside his father

SARGODHA (92 News) – Sajjada Nasheen Pir Hameed-ud-Din Sialvi was laid to rest beside his father in Sial Sharif on Friday. Thousands of people from different walks of life, including Pir of Bhera Sharif Pir Ameenul Hasnat Shah, Pir Khawaja Attaullah Taunsavi, religious figures and devotees, attended the funeral. Sahibzada Hashim Khan of Mahar Sharif led the funeral prayers. Devotees said that services of Hazrat Khawaja Hameed-ud-Din Sialvi for the defence and promotion of Islam would be remembered forever. Pir Hameed-ud-Din Sialvi remained associated with sermons and the teaching system of Darul Aloom Deenia for two decades. He was elected a senator from the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI) in 1988. He, ignoring his health, had led the Khatam-e-Nabuwwat movement during the past tenure. Pir of Sial Sharif Hameed-ud-Din Sialvi has been laid to rest beside Khawaja Shamasul Arifeeen Khawaja Muhammad Din, Khawaja Muhammad Zia-ud-Din and Pir Khawaja Qamar-ud-Din Sialvi.
