Sanjrani calls parliaments across world on Kashmir situation

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has written a letter to speakers and presiding officers of the parliaments across the world to inform current worsening situation in Indian-held Jammu Kashmir (IHK). According to the details garnered, the Senate chairman decided to telephonic contacts with all the speakers of parliaments across the world to highlight the current situation of the Occupied Kashmir as well as India’s barbarism on Kashmiris. In his letter, Sadiq Sanjrani apprised the world’s speakers of the Line of Control (LoC) violation of Indian security forces in Neelum Valley and firing and shelling on the civilian population. The upper house chairman also asked the international community to play its due role in halting the Indian aggression in IHK and help Kashmiris get their right to self-determination in the light of UN resolutions. Sadiq Sanjrani also invited their attention towards Indian state terrorism and the use of cluster munitions in violation of international laws. He further mentioned that Indian aggression is a threat to world peace. Earlier, the Senate chairman urged the president to summon the joint sitting of parliament’s two chambers to discuss the latest Kashmir situation and Indian aggression across the Line of Control. Responding to the current Indian violation of the LoC and stepped human right abuses in IHK, Sanjrani strongly condemned the Indian unprovoked shelling and firing on the civilian population in Neelum Valley. He called on the world community to take notice of the Indian state terrorism and use of cluster bombs, which, in sheer violation of the international laws, urging the peace-loving nations to play their role in ending this aggression. A day earlier, Indian Army used cluster ammunition along the Line of Control deliberately targeting civilian population in clear violation of Geneva convention and international humanitarian law. DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said that the use of cluster bombs by Indian Army violating international conventions is condemnable. In a tweet on Saturday, he said: “No weapon can suppress determination of Kashmiris to get their right of self determination. Kashmir runs in blood of every Pakistani. Indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmiris shall succeed, Insha Allah.”
