Saudi Arabia contributing in Pakistan’s development: FO

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Foreign Office spokesperson has said Saudi Arabia has been making important contribution to Pakistan’s economic development. She said this while responding to a question regarding the statement issued by Embassy of Saudi Arabia on financial assistance. The Spokesperson said offers of economic assistance and project based assistance by Saudi Arabia are processed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in consultation with the relevant departments and agencies of the Government of Pakistan. However, she said, funding by private individuals and organizations to private entities through informal channels, regardless of the source and country, are being brought under tighter scrutiny in the National Action Plan against terrorism, to choke off any possibility of financing for terrorists and terrorist organizations.
