Saudi Arabia expresses keen interest to invest in different projects

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Saudi investors have expressed keen interest to invest in different projects, including the power sector, of the country. Earlier a Saudi delegation headed by Ahmad Hameed Al-Ghamdi, Advisor of Saudi Arabia, Ministry of Energy, Industry, and Mineral Resources, called on Federal Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan. Federal Minister Omar Ayub Khan, welcoming the Saudi delegation, reiterated Pakistan’s close fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia and the government’s commitment to strengthen the bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest. He also informed that Pakistan has become rapidly developing country having tremendous opportunities in the energy sector. He further mentioned that Pakistan has turned into an investor-friendly country and completely facilitates and safeguards foreign investment. The minister also highlighted that there are great opportunities to invest in the field of electricity generation and transmission. Highlighting the potential sites for solar, wind and hydel energy, the minister said that the government is keen to harness the potential for renewable energy, making it quite affordable for people.
