Saudi crown prince orders to release all Pakistanis detained for sloganeering in Masjid-e-Nabwi (SAW)

RIYADH (92 News) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman ordered to release all Pakistanis detained for sloganeering in Masjid-e-Nabwi (SAW) on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had requested the Saudi leadership to release the Pakistanis involved in the incident. He thanked the Saudi crown prince for ordering the release of the Pakistanis. “May Allah Almighty reward you for this,” the prime minister said.

The Madina Munawwara court had sentenced seven Pakistanis on different counts. Khawaja Luqman, Muhammad Afzal and Ghulam Muhammad were awarded eight-year sentence while Anas, Arshad and Muhammad Saleem were awarded six-year sentence.

Moreover, Tahir Malik was handed down three-year punishment. He was also fined 10,000 riyals.
