Saudi crown prince willing to play role for de-escalating tension: FM Shah Mahmood

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is willing to end tension between Pakistan and India. Briefing the media after the in-camera session, he said that the Saudi foreign minister had contacted him during the briefing and conveyed him the crown prince’s message of standing with Pakistan. The minister said that he welcomed the offer of crown prince for a role in this regard. He said that he had again contacted the Chinese foreign minister. “China has expressed all-out cooperation and solidarity with Pakistan,” he said. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the entire political leadership is united for security of the country. “Leaders of all political parties have expressed complete solidarity with the government and armed forces of the country.” The foreign minister said that the Iran foreign minister during telephonic conversation had expressed full support to Pakistan. Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India should review its aggression, saying that Pakistan once again talks about cooperation. In a message, he said that Pakistan has raised the issue in the United Nations. “Today a new government and a new Pakistan have come into being,” he said.
