Saudi FM acknowledges Pakistan's working to eradicate Islamophobia

LAHORE (92 News) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud has expressed happiness that Pakistan is working to eradicate Islamophobia.

In an exclusive interview with 92 News Senior Anchorperson Dr Moeed Pirzada on Sunday, the Saudi FM said, "I am happy that Pakistan is working to eradicate Islamophobia. The OIC is an important organization, the role of the OIC is important in tackling Islamophobia."

Saudi FM acknowledges PM's vision for regional peace

The Saudi FM said that the KSA acknowledges the vision of PM Imran Khan for regional peace and prosperity. He said that his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is very important in the history of mutual relations between the two countries.

Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud said that the visit of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia is of utmost importance and he is happy to give an interview during the visit of PM Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia.

PM Imran's visit aims to create investor-friendly environment

"The PM Khan's visit is also aimed at setting out steps to create an investor-friendly environment. More job opportunities are being made available to Pakistani workers in the Kingdom and his country will welcome more talented labour from Pakistan," the Saudi foreign minister also urged investors to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in both the countries.

"The establishment of the Supreme Council is crucial for economic and security cooperation. This is the most important visit in the history of bilateral relations between the two countries. The visit focused on boosting economic co-operation, investment and trade," the Saudi foreign minister maintained.

Global dialogue amongst Int'l community

He has called for global dialogue amongst the international community to face the challenge of Islamophobia. "Dialogue between Muslim countries is needed to eradicate Islamophobia.

"Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are jointly working on various challenges being faced by the Muslim Ummah, including Islamophobia. Appreciating Pakistan's role in countering Islamophobia," Prince Faisal said OIC is an important platform for Muslim Ummah to take up this issue.

Saudi crown prince wants to visit Pakistan

Saudi FM has mentioned that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz also wants to visit Pakistan. "The Saudi crown prince will go for other officials level visits beside high-level visits. During his visit to Pakistan, Prince Muhammad bin Salman announced the release of certain Pakistani prisoners and steps would be taken to release more Pakistani prisoners," he added.

Afghanistan peace process

Referring to the Afghanistan peace process, Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud says that Saudi Arabia wants peace in Afghanistan, adding that the peace in Afghanistan is not only crucial for the security of Pakistan but it is also attached with the security of the region. Saudi Arabia appreciates Pakistan's role in Afghanistan.

Millions of Pakistanis working in Saudi Arabia

Prince Faisal further said that there are millions of Pakistanis working in Saudi Arabia, who are playing an vital role in the development of Saudi Arabia. He added that the 70-year relationship between the two countries is imperative.

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia jointly working on climate change

To a question about environmental challenge, he said Saudi Arabia is focused on tackling the issue of climate change and also stressed for joint efforts in this regard. "Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is jointly working on the climate change. Saudia and Pakistan can take benefit from each other's experiences."
