Saudi foreign minister arrives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Saudi Foreign Minister (FM) Adel Al-Jubeir on Thursday arrived in Pakistan for a day-long official visit. He will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to discuss bilateral matters and regional situation.
Luxembourg’s FM in Pakistan to promote bilateral trade
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn arrived Islamabad on Wednesday night for two-day official visit to Pakistan. The high officials of Foreign Ministry warmly welcomed the visiting guest. During his stay in Pakistan, he will call on his Pakistan Counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other political leadership. They will discuss the ways to promote bilateral trade between the two countries beside the peace situation in the region.
Chinese vice FM in Islamabad
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou was already in Pakistan on two-day official visit. He met with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. On Wednesday, the Chinese vice FM met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Islamabad. During the meeting, the matters of mutual interest, regional security, bilateral cooperation and current situation between Pakistan. Both the leaders discussed the tensions of Pakistan and India in the meeting. The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability. It is worth mentioning here that the Saudi FM delayed his visit earlier before due to the tensions arose between India and Pakistan aftermath of Pulwama attack on February 14. On February 26, the situation escalated when two Indian jets entered Pakistani airspace and dropped a payload.
Two Indian jets shot down by PAF: DG ISPR
On February 27, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian jets on Wednesday, giving the first surprise to India. According to the ISPR, the Indian jets had violated the Line of Control. The PAF gave a timely response and destroyed them. The Pak Army jawans arrested one of the pilots. The wreckage of one of the jets fell in the Pakistani territory, while the wreckage of another jet fell in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
