Saudi govt allows one million pilgrims to perform Hajj

RIYADH (92 News) - The government of Saudi Arabia has allowed one million pilgrims to perform Hajj, this year.

According to a press release, the age of pilgrims should not be higher than 65 years. “Pilgrims should have been vaccinated with the approved vaccination by Saudi government. They have to show their vaccination certificate on arrival of Saudi Arabia. Their PCR and COVID-19 test should be negative. It is important for pilgrims to conduct PCR and COVID-19 test before 72 hours from arrival of Saudi Arabia,” it added.

Since last two years, Saudi Arabia had limited number of pilgrims due to COVID-19. During 2021 only 60,000 people perform Hajj. Before COVID-19, two Million people used to perform Hajj.
