SANAA – The Saudi-led coalition bombed the Yemeni capital Sanaa in the early hours of Saturday (July 4).
Air strikes began shortly after midnight local time in the early hours of Saturday and continued until around 4am local time.
The strikes targeted a military site just north of the capital controlled by the Shi'ite Houthi militias.
A Saudi Arabia-led coalition of Arab states has been bombing the Iranian-allied Houthi rebel movement since late March in a bid to restore to power Yemen's elected president, who is backed by neighbouring Saudi Arabia and has fled to Riyadh. –Reuters
