Saudi, UAE FMs to arrive Pakistan today
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Saudi State Minister State for Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan are arriving in Islamabad today (Wednesday) on a day long visit to Pakistan.
The visiting dignitaries would discuss with Pakistani high leadership the critical situation arising out of India’s illegal and unilateral actions in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK).
During their stay, they will hold meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and regional developments will be discussed during the meeting with high level dignitaries.
The Saudi foreign minister’s visit to Pakistan has been announced after his meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Raja Ejaz in Riyadh on Sunday.
On the other hand, Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Pakistan is in contact through diplomatic and backdoor channels with a number of Islamic countries as part of its efforts to garner support on the Kashmir crisis.
Speaking in Islamabad, he said foreign ministers of China and Afghanistan will also visit Pakistan soon.
However, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that Prime Minister Imran and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed latest developments in the region in a phone call.
Imran Khan once again telephoned the Saudi crown prince and apprised him about the latest situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
During the telephonic call, both the leaders exchanged views on overall situation of the region. This was the third phone call between Pm Khan and the Saudi crown prince within three weeks.
Earlier on August 27, PM Imran Khan and Mohammed bin Salman held telephonic conversation on early Tuesday and discussed situation in the occupied Kashmir.
As the curfew in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) has entered in the 31st day on Wednesday, the life has become more miserable and multiplied after the shortage of food and medicine.
