SBP issues Rs 10 coin

KARACHI (92 News) – The State bank of Pakistan has on Monday issued Rs.10 coin. The coin is of yellow color and round with serrations on the edge, having a diameter of 25.5 mm. It weighs 5.50 grams. The waxing crescent moon and a five-pointed star facing north-west in rising position are in the centre on the obverse side of the coin. The reverse side of the coin is decorated with the front side picture of Faisal Mosque with doves flying over it. The face value of the coin in numeral wording ‘10’ in bold letters and ‘rupee’ in Urdu script is inscribed at the lower side of the coin. Earlier, the federal cabinet last month approved the introduction of 10 rupee coin and change of five rupee coin's metal composition. The decision was taken in a meeting of the federal cabinet presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
