ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to stage protest in Islamabad.

The court ordered the government to provide the PTI place between H 9 and G 9. It also stopped the government from arresting Imran Khan.

Earlier, the court had ordered the Islamabad chief commissioner to make alternate arrangements for the PTI long march.

Hearing the petition against closure of roads and arrests, Justice Ejazul Hassan remarked that the PTI workers should lodge their protest and return to their houses. He ordered the petitioner to provide a list PTI leaders who are feared to be arrested and they will be provided protection.

Justice Ejazul Hassan remarked that all joy is by virtue of Pakistan. "Though political parties have interests, but political interests have no worth before the county and the people," he observed.

The court also ordered the government to get surety of a peaceful protest from the PTI leaders.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered the government to review the cases of all arrested people, directing to release them after furnishing surety bonds.
