SC to announce Panama Leaks case judgment today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan will announce its verdict in the Panama papers case on Thursday.

The verdict was reserved by the Apex court on 23rd February this year.

A five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard the case.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked PML-N workers not to come to the Supreme Court today for hearing the verdict of Panama Papers case.

In a statement, he said irrelevant people should refrain from entering the court's premises.

On the other hand, foolproof security arrangements have been made in and outside the Supreme Court (SC) ahead of Panama Leaks judgment.

As many as 1000 personnel of police, Frontier Corps, Rangers and Elite Force are performing duties inside the court whereas additional force will also be deployed outside. Six to eight officers will accompany every political party leader.

Special security will be given to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq and Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed.
