ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Wednesday decided to conduct the hearings of Panama leaks case on daily basis. A five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and comprising of Justice Ejaz Afzal, Justice Gulzar Ahmad, Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh and Justice Ijazul Ahsan resumed the hearing of Panama leaks case. During the proceedings, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa remarked that there will not be any delay in Panama case and nothing will go unheard. He said that if Mian Sharif was the owner of the property then it should have been divided among everyone, adding that the deed must also be shown. “There was no reference to the Dubai factory in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech,” he added. In his arguments, PTI lawyer Naeem Bukhari said that the prime minster was found guilty of evading tax, adding that Nawaz Sharif is no more trustworthy so he should be disqualified. “The premier had claimed having documentary evidence related to investment in Dubai and Saudi Arabia,” he added. Naeem Bokhari said that they have no objection to the present bench, to which Justice Azmat Saeed remarked that if there is no objection to the bench then avoid giving statements through media. Talking to media outside the apex court, Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid demanded a caretaker government. He said that the government has lost all moral authority. Meanwhile, Makhdoom Ali Khan has been selected as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer whereas Salman Akram is counsel for Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz. Shahid Hamid is now representing Maryam Nawaz and Captain (r) Safdar in the case. In his arguments, Advocate Tariq Asad said that investigations should be carried out against all those whose names appear in Panama Papers. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa asked the media persons to refrain from making comments by quoting questions or observations made by the bench. The court adjourned the hearing till Thursday (tomorrow).
