SC declares Justice Qazi Faez Isa's judgement as ineffective

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court declared the judgement given by Justice Qazi Faez Isa as ineffective.

The court ruled that the verdicts of Justice Faez Isa and Justice Ameenuddin have no legal status. The court also withdrew the suo motu of giving 20 additional marks to Hafiz-e-Quran in the MBBS admission.

The court ruled that the verdict was announced by 3-2 on March 1. The SC attention was sought for two minority notices. "In the note of the judges, the matter pertaining to 4-3 is against the law," it ruled.

The court also formed a six-member larger bench headed by Justice Ejazul Ahsan to hear the case. The other bench members are Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Mazhar Naqvi, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Ayesha Malik and Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi.
