SC directs to downsize 76,000 employees of Pakistan Railways

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday has directed overhauling of Pakistan Railways and downsizing of unnecessary and incompetent 76,000 employees working in the department. During the hearing of case against mismanagement in Pakistan Railways, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed remarked that the department has full of incompetent employees. “The employees are not loyal with their department,” he added. The chief justice has also expressed anger on the statement of Railways secretary, saying that Railways department, its engines and trains have failed to perform. “No report on train accidents has been submitted in the court so far,” CJP Gulzar maintained.
