ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday has dismissed the petition of PTI seeking suspension of Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) verdict about re-polling in NA-75 Daska on March 18.

During the hearing, SC judge Justice Umar Ata Bandial remarked that the case can possibly be concluded before the polling day. He further directed to record arguments over the jurisdiction of the ECP in this matter.

Meanwhile, the apex court adjourned the hearing till March 16 and directed ECP and PML-N candidate to submit relevant data.

Earlier, announcing reserved verdict, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered to hold re-polling at all polling stations in Daska NA-75.

During the hearing, the Election Commission remarked that the election was not fair and transparent during the by-election in NA-75. The ECP had declared the by-poll held in NA-75 as null and void. Now the by-election will be held on April 10 instead of March 18.
